Skin & Health Data Notice

Last updated: May 31, 2026

Draft placeholder. This document is a starting template. Vetra has not yet had it reviewed by counsel. Replace the language below with finalized, jurisdiction- specific terms before launch.

Why this notice exists

Skin imagery and the responses you provide during a Vetra scan can reveal sensitive information about your health. We treat this data with care that goes beyond standard personal data, and this notice tells you exactly how.

Vetra is a wellness and skincare service. It is not a HIPAA-covered entity and does not provide medical diagnoses. We nevertheless apply HIPAA-aligned practices to your skin scans, photos, and assessment responses.

What we collect

Skin photos and live-scan footage you capture, your assessment responses (concerns, lifestyle inputs, consistency, confidence), time-series data across scans, and any notes you add yourself.

How it's stored

Skin imagery and scan data are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is logged and scoped through role-based controls. Backups are encrypted and rotated.

Who can see it

Only you, the aesthetician(s) reviewing your account, and the small set of Vetra engineering staff strictly required for system operation. We do not share your skin data with advertisers, data brokers, or product partners. We never train external AI models on your skin imagery.

How we use it

To generate your scan analysis, track changes over time, personalize your routine and collection, and provide aesthetician support. With your separate, explicit opt-in we may also use de-identified imagery to improve the methodology.

Retention and deletion

Scan data is retained while your account is active. You can delete individual scans, all scan history, or your entire account from settings. On full account deletion we erase your imagery and assessment data within 30 days unless retention is legally required.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your skin and assessment data at any time. You can withdraw consent for optional uses without losing access to the core Service. Email privacy@vetra.example to exercise these rights.

Not medical care

Vetra is not a substitute for a dermatologist or other medical professional. If you have concerns about a lesion, persistent inflammation, or any other symptom, please seek qualified medical care.
